Practice tests in about a minute
Writing a fresh unit test or a test-prep packet takes hours. The LessonHQ test generator writes an original test in about a minute, aligned to your state's standards, with an answer key you can grade from straight away. Use it for end-of-unit tests, state test prep in the spring, and AP practice before the May exams.
How the test generator works
- Open the test generator, type the topic or unit, and choose the grade and subject.
- Choose End-of-unit test or Mock exam, and the time allowed: 20, 30, 45, 60 or 90 minutes. The total marks fit the time.
- In about a minute you get a student paper and a full answer key. Section A is quick multiple choice, Section B is short answers and Section C is longer answers.
- The answer key gives a model answer and the marking points for every question.
Every question is original and written in the style of the course and test you choose. It is never copied from a real past paper. Download the paper as PDF, Word or Google Docs and edit anything before you print. Made slides or a worksheet already? Tap Make a matching and pick Test / Practice Exam on that resource, and the paper tests exactly what you taught.
Self-marking homework and the Markbook
Once the paper is saved, set its multiple-choice questions as self-marking homework with one link. Students answer on any device, the questions mark themselves, and scores appear on your dashboard and in your Markbook: one grid per class, students down the side and homework across the top. Written answers stay on the printed paper for you to mark with the answer key.
