About LessonHQ (boilerplate)
LessonHQ is an AI platform that gives teachers their evenings and weekends back. A teacher types a topic and year group and, in about a minute, gets a complete lesson - slides, a lesson plan, a worksheet with answers, a knowledge organiser and more - aligned to their curriculum and fully editable in Word, PowerPoint or Google. Unlike most AI tools built for one system, LessonHQ supports all four UK nations, every US state and international IB and Cambridge schools. It also includes a marking assistant, whole-school documents for leaders, a parent-managed student portal and a marketplace where teachers keep 80% of every sale.
Why it was built
“I'm not a teacher - but I'm surrounded by them. I kept watching the teachers in my life lose their evenings and weekends to the same invisible work: building slides, writing worksheets, then doing it all again for the next lesson. A great lesson on the water cycle gets rebuilt from scratch by thousands of teachers every year. LessonHQ exists to give that time back - and to treat teachers' professional judgement as the thing that matters most.”

Story angles
- Beyond England: most education AI is built for one system - LessonHQ writes for Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland's own curricula, not just England's.
- Lessons in Cymraeg, Gaeilge and Gàidhlig: teachers in Welsh-, Irish- and Gaelic-medium classrooms can make the same resources in their teaching language.
- New research - AI lesson tools aren't as accurate as you think: why AI writes confident lessons that can be wrong, backed by a check of all 601 resources in our own AI-generated library, what teachers should check, and what we changed. Read the study and download the data.
- Teacher workload: what a teacher does with the evening a one-minute lesson gives back.
- AI that keeps teachers in charge: every output is a fully editable first draft, never a locked product.
- Teachers as sellers: a marketplace where teachers keep 80% of what their resources earn.
- Parents and home education: guided homework help that gives hints, not answers.
