Terms & Conditions

LessonHQ is an AI-powered content generation and marketplace platform operated by LessonHQ Ltd, registered in England and Wales. Our platform allows teachers to generate standards-aligned lesson packs, slide decks, worksheets, tests, lesson plans, sub plans, activities, study booklets, unit plans and more using artificial intelligence, and to buy and sell lesson content through our marketplace. By using LessonHQ, you agree to these Terms & Conditions in full. If you disagree with any part of these terms, you must not use our platform.

You must be 18 years of age or older to create an account. You must provide accurate information when registering. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. LessonHQ reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. New accounts also receive 1 bonus credit (2 for school or work email addresses). Your first Educator or Pro subscription starts with a 7-day free trial (one free trial per account). We collect your payment details when the trial starts but do not charge you during it. Unless you cancel before the trial ends, your subscription starts automatically and you are charged the price shown when you started the trial, then on each renewal until you cancel. We email you a reminder at least 2 days before the trial ends, and you can cancel at any time from Dashboard > Settings & Billing (Cancel Subscription, or Manage billing to use the Stripe billing portal); cancelling during the trial costs nothing. Home-School Plus also starts with a 7-day free trial (card needed, once per account) on the same terms. Student Plus has no trial. Free packs and trials are provided at our discretion and may be withdrawn at any time.

LessonHQ offers the following plans: - Free: 2 lesson packs, 2 slide decks, 3 worksheets, 3 lesson plans, 5 activity sheets and 1 booklet (lifetime), plus 1 test every 30 days - no payment or card required - Educator ($6.99/month or $69.90/year (2 months free)): 20 lesson packs, 15 slide decks, 20 worksheets, 20 lesson plans, 40 activity sheets and 5 booklets per month, plus 10 tests every 30 days; marketplace selling enabled - Pro ($12.99/month or $129.90/year (2 months free)): 60 lesson packs, 30 slide decks, 60 worksheets, 60 lesson plans, 120 activity sheets and 20 booklets per month, plus 30 tests every 30 days; Lesson Series, Unit Planner and school brand kit; priority AI; unlimited listings - School: Bespoke pricing - contact us for a tailored quote For parents: - Student Plus ($4.99/month): unlimited study sessions for every child. No free trial - free parent accounts include 8 study sessions a month - Home-School Plus ($12.99/month): everything in Student Plus, plus the lesson generators, a year planner and how-to-teach notes. The generators come with a family allowance shared across the account that resets every 30 days: 100 lesson packs, 100 worksheets, 100 lesson plans, 60 slide decks, 150 activity sheets, 20 booklets and 30 tests (the Unit Planner and Lesson Series are included). Once a type's allowance is used, bonus credits can be spent instead. Student Plus study sessions for your children stay unlimited. Starts with a 7-day free trial (card needed, once per account) All prices are exclusive of any applicable sales tax. Subscriptions are billed monthly or annually in advance. Usage quotas reset at the start of each billing period. Payment is processed securely via Stripe. We do not store your card details - Stripe handles all payment processing. Credits (bonus credits and one-off top-ups) can be used for any resource once your plan allowance has run out, and never expire. Credits are non-refundable except as set out in Section 5.

Teachers on Educator or Pro plans may list lesson packs, worksheets, lesson plans, slide decks, activity sheets, study booklets, study guides and exit tickets for sale on the LessonHQ marketplace. By listing content, you confirm that: - The content is your own original work or you have the rights to sell it - The content does not infringe any third-party intellectual property rights - The content is appropriate for the stated grade level and subject - The content does not contain offensive, discriminatory or harmful material LessonHQ takes a 20% commission on all marketplace sales. You receive 80% of the sale price. Earnings are paid out to your registered bank account on request once your balance reaches $10. Sellers set their own price, from a minimum of $1 per pack. LessonHQ reserves the right to remove any listing that violates these terms without notice.

SUBSCRIPTION REFUNDS You may cancel your subscription at any time from Dashboard > Settings & Billing (Cancel Subscription, or Manage billing). Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period (or at the end of your free trial) - you are not charged again and you keep full access until then. Cancelling during a free trial costs nothing. We do not provide pro-rata refunds for unused subscription time. If you have been incorrectly charged or experienced a verified technical failure preventing access to the platform, please contact us within 14 days at [email protected]. We will review each case and may issue a full or partial refund at our discretion. CREDIT REFUNDS One-off credit purchases are non-refundable once credits have been used to generate packs. If you purchased credits and have not used them, please contact us within 14 days of purchase for a refund. MARKETPLACE PURCHASE REFUNDS Due to the digital nature of lesson pack files, marketplace purchases are generally non-refundable once downloaded. If a pack is materially different from its description or contains an error that prevents use, please contact us within 7 days at [email protected]. We will mediate between buyer and seller and may issue a refund at our discretion. UK CONSUMER RIGHTS For UK consumers, you have the right to cancel a digital content purchase within 14 days under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, unless you have already begun downloading or streaming the content. By downloading a lesson pack, you expressly consent to waiving your 14-day cancellation right for that purchase. FREE PLAN No refunds apply to the Free plan as no payment is taken.

LessonHQ uses artificial intelligence to generate lesson packs, worksheets, lesson plans, slide decks, activity sheets, study booklets, study guides, exit tickets, report comments and unit plans. You acknowledge that: - AI-generated content may contain errors, inaccuracies or outdated information - All AI-generated content should be reviewed by a qualified teacher before classroom use - Resources made in a language other than English (for example Welsh, Irish, Scottish Gaelic or Spanish) are translated or written by AI and may contain translation errors; they should be checked by someone fluent in that language before use - LessonHQ does not guarantee that generated content is accurate, complete or suitable for any particular purpose - LessonHQ is not liable for any harm arising from the use of AI-generated content in the classroom You own the content you generate through LessonHQ. By selling content on the marketplace, you grant buyers a non-exclusive licence to use that content for educational purposes.

LessonHQ's platform, branding, design and technology are owned by LessonHQ Ltd. You may not copy, reproduce or distribute any part of the platform without our written permission. Content you generate using LessonHQ belongs to you. Content you purchase from the marketplace is licensed to you for personal educational use only - you may not resell, redistribute or republish purchased content without the seller's permission. Watermarks embedded in downloaded files contain your email address for security purposes and may not be removed. Files you upload (for example PDF, Word or PowerPoint files used as a source) and any logo you add to your school brand kit must be yours to use, or you must have permission to use them. We use uploaded file text only to build the resource you asked for; brand-kit details (school name, colour and logo) are stored with your account so they can be added to your resources.

We collect and process personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy. By using LessonHQ, you consent to our data practices as described in the Privacy Policy. We do not sell your personal data to third parties. We use Stripe for payment processing, Resend for email, hCaptcha for security verification, and AI and translation providers to generate content. The full list is on our Subprocessors page (/subprocessors). Each third party has their own privacy policy governing their data practices.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, LessonHQ Ltd's total liability to you for any claim arising from these terms or your use of the platform shall not exceed the total amount you have paid to us in the 12 months preceding the claim. LessonHQ is not liable for: loss of data, loss of profits, indirect or consequential losses, or any damages arising from reliance on AI-generated content.

The LessonHQ Student Portal is a feature available to parents and guardians to support their children's learning outside of school. PARENT ACCOUNTS Parents must be 18 years of age or older to create an account. By registering as a parent, you confirm that you are the parent or legal guardian of any student profiles you create and that you accept responsibility for their use of the platform. STUDENT PROFILES Student profiles are managed entirely by the parent account holder. No account, email address or login is required from the child. You may create up to 3 student profiles per parent account. Student profiles store only a nickname (no real name required), grade level, standards framework and chosen subjects. CHILDREN'S DATA & COPPA We take children's privacy seriously. For student profiles marked as under 13, we apply additional data minimisation measures in line with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and applicable US student-privacy laws. We do not use a child's data for advertising, profiling or any purpose beyond delivering the study session content requested by the parent. AI-GENERATED STUDY CONTENT Homework help and exam practice content is AI-generated. Parents should review content for suitability before sharing with their child. LessonHQ is not liable for any inaccuracies in AI-generated study content. Study content should supplement - not replace - qualified teacher support. PARENT RESPONSIBILITY As the account holder, you are responsible for ensuring your child uses the platform appropriately. You may delete student profiles and all associated session data at any time from your account settings or the student portal dashboard.

We may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by email or by a notice on the platform. Continued use of LessonHQ after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
