Built for lessons, not sales pitches
General AI presentation tools are designed for business talks: a title, three bullet points and a stock photo. A lesson needs more. It needs a hook, an objective pupils can understand, explanations broken into steps, a task to check understanding, and an end point. That is the structure every LessonHQ deck follows.
Because the deck is written for a particular grade and your state's standards, a 4th grade deck on the water cycle and a high school deck on the same topic look and read very differently: less text and more pictures for younger students, academic vocabulary and longer tasks for older ones.
How it works
Enter the topic and age
For example, "The water cycle, 4th grade" or "The Bill of Rights, 8th grade".
Pick a look
Choose one of 18 classroom looks, from plain and calm to seasonal. Change it later in one click.
Open it in PowerPoint
Open in PowerPoint (PowerPoint Online in your browser), send it to Google Slides, save a PDF, or present straight from LessonHQ.
What makes it a teacher's PowerPoint
Editable, not flattened
The PowerPoint is built from the same slides you see on screen, as real text boxes and shapes. Nothing is baked into an image, so you can edit every word.
Notes and answers
Teacher notes and answers sit in the speaker notes, ready when you present, hidden from the class.
Warm-up to exit ticket
A warm-up, objectives, teaching slides, a task and an exit ticket, in an order that makes a lesson.
Pictures that fit
Photos come from licensed image libraries with their credits shown. When no photo fits, a picture is drawn for the topic instead.
Presenting in class
- Present from LessonHQ in your browser, with a timer and tap-to-reveal answers.
- Open in PowerPoint Online on a school laptop without installing anything.
- Running a lesson in Microsoft Teams? See our guide to live lessons in Teams.
- Save a PDF for pupils who missed the lesson, or for printing handouts.
Questions teachers ask
Is it a real PowerPoint I can edit?
Yes. Titles, text, tables and shapes come through as normal PowerPoint text boxes and shapes, not pictures of slides, so you can change wording, fonts, colours and order as you would in any deck.
Does it include notes?
Yes. Slides carry teacher notes in the speaker notes area, including answers to the questions on screen, so they are there when you present but not on the board.
Can I open it without PowerPoint installed?
Yes. Open in PowerPoint uses PowerPoint Online in your browser, and you can also send the deck to Google Slides, save a PDF, or present straight from LessonHQ.
Is it pitched for my class?
You choose the grade and subject, and the deck is aligned to your state's standards: the amount of text per slide, the vocabulary and the tasks change with the age.
Is it free?
You can make slide decks free to try it, with no card needed. Paid plans include more every month.
